No More Venza: Toyota Discontinues the Crossover for 2024

Toyota regularly offers new models to win over its massive customer base. Because of this, its lineup includes a variety of crossovers, SUVs, sedans, hatchbacks, and large off-road vehicles.

The brand's sophisticated hybrid and engine systems, durability, and quality are what keep its customers satisfied. Toyota also has one of the best resale values, as its cars hold their value well, which is a testament to their quality.

In 2025, Toyota decided to discontinue the Venza model. However, this wasn't due to a significant drop in sales. It's likely that the car will simply return under a new name, which seems to be the case. It is probable that Toyota has a better marketing plan that will lead to more success than the Venza model achieved.

Today, we'll talk a little about the history of this model.

Toyota has decided to discontinue the Venza, and the 2024 model will be the last generation we see. Let's briefly review the history of this model.

The Venza first appeared in the United States in 2008. Its first generation was considered unattractive by many, but also loved by others because it was a very spacious 5-seater station wagon.

The first generation came with two engine options: a 2.7-liter 4-cylinder and a 3.5-liter 6-cylinder, both paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 3.5-liter engine produced 268 horsepower, which was quite good for daily commutes or family trips. We saw the first-generation facelift in 2012,The Venza Limited was only available with a 3.5-liter engine, and you could purchase it with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. which was more refined. Production of the first generation stopped in 2015.

The second generation of the Venza appeared in 2021, featuring all-wheel drive and a 2.5-liter hybrid engine. This model was a significant departure from the first generation and consumed about 6 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers (40 mpg).

In 2024, Venza production was discontinued, This could also be due to the fact that the last generation of the Toyota Venza is an SUV, but Toyota already has other vehicles in this class that it can offer to customers. Toyota introduced the Crown Signia as replacement of Venza.
